Pop. 2,275
***** NOW AN OFFICIAL SELECTION OF THE 2009 OJAI/VENTURA FILM FESTIVAL *****
Pop. 2,275 is a short film by Marina Dominguez and Jeff Johns and was exclusively shot on the Canon 5D MarkII. Wheatland, California is located just 40 miles outside of Sacramento, yet it maintains the small town charm it has carried for over 200 years. In the next 20 years Wheatland will grow from an approximate population of 2,275 to over 50,000. On the verge of inevitable urban expansion, the change is embraced by some and feared by others. This is the story of Wheatland, California and the people who make this town home.
