Everybody Poops!

This photo essay is a portrait series about people. There are approximately 6,700,000,000 people in the world today. Although we are all very different and live very different lives, there is one thing that we all do everyday…. We all use the restroom. Although this act is something that in our society we don’t talk about often it is impossible for us to deny. These Portraits are thriving to illustrate not the act itself, but how although all 6,700,000,000 of us are essentially the same, there are many things that make us unique and different; each in our own way. All of these portraits are an attempt to capture the little details that makes us all who we are. Some simply mock what we have been assumed to be, while others embrace the true identity of the individual.

In each photo there is a true sense of the individual and each photo has a quark about the person. Twenty-one-year-old, Jessica Kirk, was born and raised in Ventura, Calif . She has a sparkling personality and loves the nightlife. She has a wardrobe that would make any girl envious and loves to flaunt her witty charisma. Jessica is 4 foot 3 inches tall and has been nicknamed as ‘Little Baby Jessica’. For her portrait, Jessica is shown in the restroom of a club in downtown Ventura in her fancy heels. To embrace her short height, her feet are dangling a good five inches from the floor.

Another photo depicts Miss Andrea Frediani who is a 20-year-old student at Brooks Institute. Andrea moved to Brooks a year and a half ago to pursue her passion of photojournalism. Since Andrea was a little girl she has been pursuing ballet. In her portrait she is wearing her point shoes. Ballet is and will continue to be a significant roll in her life.

There are many little things about every person that makes them unique. We are dancers, gamers, scientists, drinkers, fans, skateboarders, designers, patriots, believers, and we all have one thing in common… Everybody poops!
